soul-stirring sound and seductive, liquid-red styling inherent to a long bloodline of championship-winning Ducati sportbikes. Yesterday's triumph, however, is just that, and the bigger the trophy, the more dust it tends to attract. Ongoing product evolution is what maintains a competitive edge, and the Bologna boys aim to kill in the hotly contested middleweight supersport category with the new 848 EVO recently rolled out as an early-release 2011 model.

Torque builds quickly off idle before easing into a soft spot around 5000 rpm. While the mid-rpm lull is perceptible even at slight throttle settings, fueling remains good, allowing the bike to cruise dead-steady in the lull zone at freeway speeds. The sweet spot for smooth running spans from 4000 to 5000 rpm, yielding an indicated 70 to 87 mph in top gear with only modest engine vibration seeping through the handgrips. Strong power pulses quake the footpegs and frame while chugging along at basement revs or spinning the engine in its upper rpm range. There is little driveline lash, even when casually lugging along at 3500 rpm in a tall gear.2011 Ducati 848 Evo2011 Ducati 848 Evo

Remember the questions posed at the very beginning of our review? Their answers are a little bit of yes and a little bit of no. The Hyper is completely capable of fulfilling its role as a maniacal supersize supermoto, there's no doubt about that. But it can also function perfectly well as a method of getting you from point A to point B with reasonable comfort and refinement. Well, maybe not refinement, especially not with that Termognini exhaust -- it's not exactly good etiquette to roll into work setting off car alarms... but at least comfort. So, in closing, what we have here is a $14,995 motorcycle with multiple personality disorder. And we mean that in the best way possible.

Vehicle Highlights: first plug-in for 2011 The Chevrolet Volt

One aspect which sets the Volt apart from any other car on the market is its long driving range for an electric vehicle, something usually not found in other electric vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf. Since the Volt operates uses an electric motor for the first 40 miles or so, consumers who have a short commute could probably skip fueling up for long periods of time. The car industry awarded the Volt the honor of being named 2011 North American Car of the Year.

Let's take a closer look at the powertrain that powers this innovative vehicle. The car is powered initially by an electric power train which switches over to traditional gasoline mode after around forty miles. The electric powertrain provides 149 hp and 273 lb feet of torque while the traditional engine is a 1.4 Liter four cylinder. Acceleration is smooth and instantaneous while the Volt provides a driver oriented and athletic drive. Charging the car is quite simple; you just plug it into a regular 120 volt outlet. The Volt goes from 0-60 mph on just 9.2 seconds which is pretty fast when compared to speeds of the average hybrid. A home charging station is highly recommended.

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt makes its debut as General Motors' first plug-in gas/electric vehicle. It is expected to see limited production in calendar 2010, with availability only in California, Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington, DC. Nationwide sales are slated for late-calendar 2011. GM calls this 4-passenger, 4-door hatchback an "extended-range electric vehicle," because it has, in effect, two different drivetrains: an all-electric one (battery and motors) that drive the car for the first 40 or so miles after a full plug-in recharge, and a gas-powered hybrid system (with gas engine and fuel tank) that automatically takes over after that to give about another 300 miles of range.

Before any official announcement, reports began running during April 1965 within the automotive press that Chevrolet was preparing a competitor to the Ford Mustang, code-named Panther. On June 21, 1966, around 200 automotive journalists received a telegram from General Motors stating, "...Please save noon of June 28 for important SEPAW meeting. Hope you can be on hand to help scratch a cat. Details will follow...(signed) John L. Cutter – Chevrolet Public Relations – SEPAW Secretary." The following day, the same journalists received another General Motors telegram stating, "Society for the Eradication of Panthers from the Automotive World will hold first and last meeting on June 28...(signed) John L. Cutter – Chevrolet Public Relations SEPAW Secretary." These telegrams puzzled the automotive journalists.

2011 the Yamaha FZ6R is not lacking curb appeal

When Yamaha released the FZ6R to the public earlier this year I was quick to review it. I hastily found a brand new one, barely a week out of its crate, and went to work. Over the course of half a day I flogged the bike through corners, around treacherous terrain (bumpy roads, gravel, etc.), up and down hills, through the mountains, and then back into good old city riding. It as a memorable half day, as the Yamaha FZ6R would become one of my all time favorite casual motorcycles.

What is a "Casual" Motorcycle?

Unlike the Yamaha R6, which is a super-sport motorcycle, the Yamaha FZ6R has certain conveniences that make it appealing for new and experienced riders alike. It has a more upright riding position, with less lean to the handle bars. This makes it more comfortable to sit on and ride, and after nearly half a day of abuse and hard riding my back still wasn't sore. On the R6 my back would have been killing me within an hour.

Not only that, but it doesn't pack a 160 horsepower engine. In fact, though Yamaha has been very hush-hush about just how much power it does make, you will find that the FZ6R is rather slow in comparison to any 600cc+ super-sport. Then again, that's like saying that the Chevrolet Corvette is slower than the Ferrari F430. At no point should you think that the Yamaha FZ6R is a slow machine, as it will still complete a quarter mile in around 12 seconds, and it will still outrun just about everything else on the street.

2011 Yamaha FZ6R Official Photos2011 Yamaha FZ6R Official Photos
Looks and Performance

One look at the Yamaha FZ6R is enough to make someone fall in love. Distinct styling, combined with aggressive fairing and wide tires (for the size of motorcycle) give the FZ6R a unique look. Without a doubt, the FZ6R is not lacking curb appeal. Of course, all the aggressive fairing in the world won't mean a thing if the motorcycle handles like a Vespa.

Starting up the motorcycle reveals the silky-smooth idle of the fuel injected four cylinder former R6 engine, and once you rev it (and you will want to) you will be rewarded with an angelic exhaust tone. True, this is not a pocket rocket. Also true is the fact that the FZ6R isn't really any faster than any of its primary competition (Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Suzuki SV650S). However, the amount of personal satisfaction that owners of this motorcycle are sure to enjoy will easily outweigh any of those minor shortcomings.

And believe me when I say that they are indeed minor. Once you have this bike moving you will be experiencing a riding situation that is far and beyond what most "entry level" motorcycles offer. There is no clunky carbureted engine, no lacklustre acceleration, and no disapproving looks from other motorcycle riders. There is speed when you need it, there is the ride that you want (stiff, but not too stiff), and the aesthetics that cause other people to constantly ask you what you're riding.

Ride this bike hard and it will reward you with sub-12 second acceleration times (your $8,000 motorcycle will keep up with $180,000 Ferrari's), enthusiastic turn-in, and the ability to stop your newfound lover on a dime.

So How Good Is It?

This may very well be one of the best entry level middleweight sport bikes ever conceived, and in my humble opinion this motorcycle is worthy of respect from any rider, regardless of their experience level. Get on one, ride it, and see for yourself- you'll be glad you did.

Spec Streetfighter: 2011 The Kawasaki Z750R

Europe is the birthplace of the original streetfighter motorcycles, stripped-down sportbikes that engendered an entirely new class of production bikes termed "street-nakeds" or "sport standards," among other names. Europeans still love sporty bikes that come from the factory sans fairings, and in the last couple of years, Kawasaki has really hit the market sweet-spot with their Z750.

After the global financial crisis, however, sales began to taper off. Fortunately, Kawasaki has responded aggressively, introducing the new 2011 Kawasaki Z750R. New styling is the most marked departure from the bike's predecessor. There is an all-new bikini fairing up front, as well as new instrumentation in the gauge cluster. There is also a new muffler, or you can opt for an Akrapovic system for an additional cost. Other options include a spoiler and faux carbon fiber design pieces.

The Chevrolet Camaro SSX Track Car

The Chevrolet Camaro SSX Track Car has a purposeful aesthetic, with exterior appointments and suspension modifications aimed at road course performance. They include carbon fiber aero parts - front splitter and adjustable rear wing - lightweight carbon fiber body panels, revised lower grille and unique brake cooling ducts. The carbon body panels significantly lower the Camaro's weight, as does the elimination of much of the production car's sound-deadening material, carpeting and rear seat.

Low-gloss Icy White Metallic exterior paint is contrasted with the carbon aero parts, door graphics/racing number and red details; and this competition-ready Camaro rolls on dedicated track wheels and tires. This concept was constructed with input from Pratt and Miller, Chevrolet partner in Corvette Racing, and Riley Technologies using parts proven in the Grand Am racing series.

Ford Mustang GT 350 H." The 1966 Shelby Mustang ... How to Find Ford Mustang

Since the Ford Mustang was introduced in 1964, millions of people have lusted after one. Over the past 45 years, more than nine million have purchased new Mustangs and countless millions more have bought used Mustangs. The 2009 Ford Mustang GT has continued the tradition.

In 1966 the Hertz rent a car company agreed to purchase 1000 Shelby GT 350 for their rental fleet. It ended up that 996 cars were finally deliver to Hertz with Three being wrecked in transit and one being returned before it arrived for an unknown mechanical defect. Most of the Hertz's car were made in Black with a gold and most had an automatic transmission. The exceptions to that was the first 100 cars sold to Hertz were 4 speeds. It quickly became apparent to them that the 4 speed cars may have not been a good idea. The performance of the car combined with the driving habits of the rental customer added up to many clutch replacements. Some other colors also showed up in the mix, white, blue and red. All the cars had the gold stripe on the side and most had the racing stripes over the top.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIo93k0t8K3suRrQQuReSe2mg4tDH7ez8vVJEEwft6oH0weRFFay1XvN4gjxU7srNAQ-ZHFwVOi_CTTQ2imNKS7CVLbf3Ar_mymQ2gKN28G47YQJ8ih9v40S2SecL5DPm8Y8flaVV4C8wK/s800/2011+Ford+Mustang+GT1.jpg

2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept

2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept
The ESFLOW concept cars will be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March) where it will share the Nissan stand with a number of other innovative and exciting newcomers - but with one major difference: these are production ready.
The 2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept isn’t scheduled to be unveiled until the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in just a couple of weeks. Nissan plans to reveal its new electric concept, called Esflow, at the Chicago Auto Show this year. The car will make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show from March.
2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept
Nissan has a reputation for creating some of the most exhilarating sports cars on the market. Nissan has also developed the world's first practical Zero Emission family car, the Nissan LEAF. Now Nissan has put that expertise together. It has captured the excitement of a sports car and the environmental benefits of an electric vehicle and blended them into one dramatic two-seater concept: ESFLOW.
It may be a concept, but the Nissan ESFLOW electric sports cars proves it's possible to remain environmentally sympathetic without having to give up the joy of driving. It looks like a sports car, handles like a sports car and performs like one too. But Nissan ESFLOW Concept cars is different to every other sports car yet built: it's electric. Using technology pioneered in the award-winning Nissan LEAF, the EV concept shows that driving can still be as much fun tomorrow as it is today.
2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept
Ecological minimalism need not come at the expense of luxury. The cabin of the 2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept is clean and open and weight saving has been a priority throughout its design, but it is still a comfortable and pleasant place to sit. By far the heaviest components in modern cars' interiors are the steel framed, thickly upholstered and increasingly motorized seats. In 2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept the seats are sculpted into the rear bulkhead of the car, negating the need for a heavy frame. This of course means that they are immobile, but this is of no consequence as the fly-by-wire steering and pedals adjust electrically to the best spot to suit each individual driver's size and preferred driving position.
Nissan ESFLOW Concept is rear-wheel drive and it runs on two motors. The car's graceful proportions allow the twin electric motors to be placed above the axis of the rear wheels, in a mid-ship position,. These motors independently control the left and right wheels, and so the torque is optimized to ensure outstanding vehicle stability and control as well as efficient power regeneration. The motors produce enough torque in an instant for it to reach a 100kph in under 5 seconds.
2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept
Power for the motors comes from the same laminated lithium-ion battery packs used in the Nissan LEAF, but in ESFLOW the packs are located along the axis of the front and rear wheels. This centralizes the mass of the car, and thus its rotation point, close to the driver's hips. These cleverly positioned batteries enable the car to travel over 240km on one charge.
2011 Nissan Electric Sports Cars ESFLOW Concept
The colors of this Esflow are inspired from glaciers, with highly reflective blue-tinted solidified liquid shapes. Even if this concept will not hit the production line too soon, it could be a great source of inspiration for Nissan’s future sports cars.

2011 The Chevrolet Sonic sedan and five-door models

Once the next generation Impala hits the market, it will go up against the next generation Ford Taurus and a host of other competitors. Still, if GM plays its market planning right, the Impala may have a shot at winning back customers who long since fled the brand for more modern sedans or opted for other Chevy models.

From every angle, Chevrolet Sonic sedan and five-door models convey strength, stability and refinement. A wide, planted stance, with wheels-at-the-corners proportions, conveys performance. Progressive, raked body lines suggest movement even when the car is stationary.

Aggressive cues, including fender flares and motorcycle-inspired round headlamps, are blended with global design cues - a dual-element grille and round taillamps - for a design instantly recognizable as Chevrolet. The leading edge of the hood forms a character line above the headlamps, which flows in a sleek side profile characterized by uninterrupted body side lines, a high beltline and low roofline. The side mirrors carry the same shape as the car and seemingly disappear into the profile.

The sedan and five-door models are distinctively different. The five-door carries a tight, two-box shape with aggressive, diving feature lines, while the sedan's "notchback" profile has a more upscale and mature presence. At first glance, the five-door model looks like a three-door hatch because the rear door handles are discreetly located in the "C"-pillar area. The rear of the five-door continues with unconventional details, including exposed, motorcycle-inspired rear taillamps.

2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Chicago Auto Show

The Camaro ZL1 transmission should appeal to enthusiasts who have a need for performance. The transmission is used with a dual-mass flywheel and twin-disc clutch shifting ease and operation. A new, shorter-throw shifter drives the shifting gears. Drivers will be able to bring their rides to a quick, safe stop as this model includes track-capable Brembo brakes.

While tooling down the road, drivers will be able to select tour and sport modes of the coupe's magnetic ride suspension, enhancing shock damping while minimizing body roll. Standard rear stabilizer bars feature drop links that have been repositioned outboard of the control arms, providing effective body roll control. Electric steering has been improved for this model, giving the driver greater feedback.

Louis Chevrolet, who founded the brand with William "Billy" Durant in 1911, was a racer, mechanic and pioneering engineer. He raced in the early years of the Indianapolis 500, which also started in 1911, and served a luminary of the event in the years after he retired his racing helmet. That included driving the official Indianapolis pace car, which was developed by Indy 500 founder Carl Fisher, who believed a rolling start was safer than a standing start. The first Indianapolis 500 featured a pace car driven by Fisher.

The first Chevrolet selected as the Indianapolis 500 pace car was the 1948 Fleetmaster Six. The brand would go on to lead the racing pack more than any other manufacturer. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FoXyvaPSnVk/TVK7aig-6BI/AAAAAAAD9m4/TH2FLD_Wt3Q/s1600/2012-Chevrolet-ZL1-Camaro-4.JPG

all New 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe - Astonishing Features

The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is an urban-friendly sports utility vehicle that is competent and fuel efficient. The vehicle is powered by a Vortec 5.3L V8 engine that generates 320 HP and 335lb torque. The mileage is 21 mpg highway and a fair 15 mpg in the city. That is a definite improvement on fuel economy than competitors. Its trim the Tahoe Hybrid is without doubt the most fuel efficient SUV in its class, clocking a remarkable 20 mpg in city and 23mpg on the highway.
The 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the first creations of General Motors as per new full size sport utility vehicles. The interior layout of this vehicle is quite symmetrical and very engaging. It also incorporates a build quality that is vastly superior to any other previous vehicles crafted by the company. The vehicle had dropped off the hard plastic trim framing controls and put in its place modern and cohesive construction that provides and exudes a more European look. The new interior holds beautiful import materials thus providing a premium-touch surface and a tasteful element in styling. As per noise, this hubbub from the road and the wind is well hidden and kept away from its passengers. It holds the capacity to absorb persistent surface degradation. The whole vehicle is very rattle-free.

The calssic cars: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Small Tweaks For The 1967 Model:The 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle only had minor changes from its 1966 predecessor. New chrome bars were added to the front grille. There were also some styling tweaks that gave the Chevelle a leaner and longer appearance, giving it more "proper" look. The rear end added large taillamps to go along with the standard backup lights. Visibly, the tweaks to the '67 Chevy Chevelle were modest.

The '67 Chevrolet Chevelle did have a new dual master cylinder brake system which incorporated a warning light and all models had front disc brakes.

Finding a 1967 Chevelle SS for sale is a dream that many muscle car enthusiasts hold near and dear to their hearts. While the '67 Chevelle SS is by no means a perfect car, it's a wonderful specimen that boasts enough personality to make its flaws endearing.

There were kinks present in the first several years of the Chevelle SS, particularly in the way that the car handled, and driving at top speeds exacerbated these issues. What set the 1967 Chevelle SS for sale apart from those that had come before it were the improvements in this area.

These most basic of these changes was the upgrade from the standard rayon two-ply 7.75x14 tires to low profile F70X14s with nylon belts. Chevy also reconfigured the steering system including the wheel so that grip and steering response were dramatically improved.

The feel in the car when one changes direction, especially at high speed, is what separates the 1967 Chevelle SS most from the 1964-1966 Chevelle SSs. The designers also improved braking with the new front disc brakes that were available as an option along with the purposeful 14-inch slotted wheels that were included standard.

Enthusiasts should note that it is possible to customize the 1964-1966 Chevelle SSs to include similar handling improvements. However, the 1967 Chevelle SS provides a particular handling that one cannot easily match with a simple upgrade, and this is part of the vehicle's allure.

Lots Of Choices With The '67 Chevelle

When a buyer was interested in purchasing a 1967 Chevelle, they often had lots of choices and options. It often made it a tough task to choose the right Chevelle for them. First there was the engine choice. The base model had a V-8 with 325 horsepower. There was also an Super Sport or SS version of '67 Chevelle which offered a 350 horsepower 396 ci V-8. If the buyer went the SS route, they would have an exclusive grille design, rocker moldings that were gray-toned, bright wheel well moldings and a domed hood with dummy air intake slots. There was also "Quick-Size" version of the SS 396 which came as a sport coupe or a convertible. These were advertised as "the car for the Driving Man". There was a Chevelle Station Wagon available as for purchase as well.

After the engine choice, the buyer would have to select from no less than six transmissions that were available for the 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle. These included two three-speed transmissions, a four-speed version, two automatic transmissions and an overdrive transmission. Some other options available for the '67 Chevelle included Strato-ease headrests, Superlift air shock absorbers and special instrumentation.

Chevrolet's big news in 1967 would be the introduction of the Camaro. Although this was the case, the Chevelle was a more traditional "sporty" vehicle. It could be bought as a 2-door hardtop or a convertible and its manual-shift feature of the Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission helped make the '67 Chevelle a very hot seller in 1967.

Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van holds three doors

A passenger mini van, the 2005 Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van holds three doors. Yet, it only has a maximum passenger capacity of two people. The rest of the space is made essentially for cargo and packages. It has been constructed so as to be able to transport and delivery these to other locations. Aside from that, this vehicle also has been made available in two trim levels which comprise of the Rear Wheel Drive and the All Wheel Drive. 2005 is the last year of production and manufacturing for this vehicle.

Detail Review 2010 Chevrolet Colorado (Truck)

This pickup truck is developed and manufactured at GM's plant in Rayong and Sherveport Louisiana. Colorado is available with both manual and automatic gear transmission. 2010 Colorado compensate for its fault via affordability and wide variety of power trains. This pickup model from Chevrolet faces some challenges from Dodge Dakota, Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. National base price of 2010 Colorado is around $ 16, 985 which excludes destination charges.

The Chevrolet Colorado is Chevrolet's entry in the compact truck market. The only engine available in this light truck is a 2.9 liter four cylinder engine. In opting for a large displacement four cylinder configuration, Chevrolet tried to capture the fuel economy inherent in a four cylinder engine, while also capturing the horsepower of a six cylinder engine with the larger displacement. And most drivers and critics agree that this truck's engine is a good blend of the two attributes. The 2.9 liter four cylinder produces one hundred eighty-five horsepower at five thousand six hundred revolutions per minute, and, befitting a truck, it produces one hundred ninety pounds of torque at two thousand six hundred revolutions per minute.
The Environmental Protection Agency has rated the fuel economy of the truck at eighteen miles per gallon in city driving, and twenty-five miles per gallon on the highway. The powerful engine gives the compact truck a payload capacity of one thousand four hundred and eighty four pounds, and a towing capacity of four thousand pounds when fitted properly. While performance is not normally the first thing that comes to mind when buying a pickup, the automobile compares well with the competitors in its class. The truck accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in nine and six-tenths seconds, and covers the quarter mile in seventeen and three-tenths seconds with a maximum speed of eighty-three miles per hour. Whether for performance, towing capability, or payload capacity, the vehicle competes very well against the competition.

all New Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Plus the Chevrolet Performance

After producing the Chevrolet Trailblazer for nine years from 2002 to 2009, General Motors discontinued operation and production of the Trailblazer and opted against the production of the 2010 Trailblazer. This was largely due to a budget cuts across General Motors. While it was in production, the Trailblazer was a very popular choice for those people looking for an American made medium size SUV.
GM's High Performance Vehicle Operations tuned the suspension and upgraded the brakes of the SS. It features stiffer springs, an inch lower ride height, and thicker anti-roll bars, as well as standard StabiliTrak stability control. Larger, 12.8-inch diameter front brake discs are fitted, allied to new iron twin-piston calipers, while the monster twenty-inch aluminum wheels have 255/50 V-rated tires.
